El acto academico

El acto académico fue después de la misa en San Rapidito. Lo mejor fue lo de la "deuda con martín". The graduation ceremony was almost flawless and the picture kicks it. It is rather sad that pancho and parra didn’t make the picture but at least “la guerita” (even though in the words of Rosalia was “fashionably late”) wasnt late enough and was able to make the picture. We all remember when she fell asleep for the seniorphotoshoot group pictures... It would have been nice if Pasquali’s speech hadn’t had a badly feigned oxfordian accent but ya que... There were several complaints that it was impossible to unserstand what he said. Personally I also disagree with Father Trent’s “moraleja” about the wheel. I think that perception is something which must be sought and that it is important. I dont think I would have left the missing piece behind because it would be proving a desire to be in a way (no offense here please) mediocre and continue living in a stage which should have already been passed. This is slightly reminiscent of the “crisis masculina de los cuarenta” in which the executive tries to live and be the way he was twenty years earlier (this is where all the car companies make so much money out of sports cars) even though his actual lifestyle is totally contrary. I see it as I sign of immaturity and recklessness to leave the missing piece behind. But of course that is my own personal and very messed up way of thinking. Another small observation; very few of those attending the “pachanga” went to the acto academico. This I take as a personal insult to our fifteen years of homeworkmaking and testtaking. Anyways the grad ceremony is something that i will never forget. (and if i do i will have to watch the video again). Ive gone back to the hotel lately and you know the memories just invade my mind. It is just amazing. Going through 15 years with all that great people is something which i wouldnt trade for the whole world.
